"Mass" Rehearsal Dates 2019

The choirs rehearse separately in Llanidloes and Welshpool, with some rehearsals in Newtown. See About the Choir for venues and times for the weekly rehearsals for the individual choirs.

"Mass" (combined) rehearsals with Patrick Larley are held on various Saturdays in January-May at the Wesley Methodist Church in Newtown (Back Lane, next door to Argos), with final rehearsals just before the concert being held at the concert venue.

The rehearsals accompanist is Alwena Nutting.

Please note that if you park in the public car park opposite Newtown Wesley Methodist Church during Saturday rehearsals you will need to pay the parking fee.

Concert instructions for choristers

Friday 10th May. Arrive at Theatr Hafren at 7pm, seated ready to begin rehearsal at 7:15pm. If you haven't done so already, obtain black paper to cover Saint Nicolas copy (20p) and tea ticket if required (6.50).

Saturday 11th May

Arrive at Theatr Hafren at 1:30pm. Enter through fire exit door from car park direct into theatre.

Seated to begin rehearsal at 2:00pm. Break approx 4pm. Continue 4:15 - 5pm.

Tea time in College Cafeteria by foyer.

Change and be seated on stage by 7:15pm behind curtain.

Choir dress code

Men: Black shirt, open neck, long sleeves

Ladies: Black plain long-sleeved top, red MCMF scarf. Black trousers, or (if preferred, and if not in front row) long black skirt.
