Past concerts

The first Montgomeryshire Music Festival was held on 21st July 1921 in the Old Pavilion at Newtown. The choir of 1300 voices, from 19 choirs from all parts of the County, was conducted by the late J. Morgan Nicholas in an evening performance of Mendelssohn's "Hymns of Praise" and Part One of Mozart's "Requiem". The tradition of performing major works has continued to this day, and listed below are those performed since 1988.
